Urban Adventure Camps is a unique day camp that takes campers on daily field trips throughout the Bay Area to the top museums, activities and urban attractions. Children get to learn how to navigate the Bay Area and gain confidence and independence.

Often referred to as "The Rock", the small island served as a lighthouse, a military fortification, a military prison, and a federal prison until 1963. Later, in 1972, Alcatraz became a national recreation area.

California Academy of Sciences - http://www.calacademy.org/ - This popular Bay Area attraction houses a natural history museum, planetarium, aquarium, and rainforest dome. It is also home to a world-class research institution with over 25 million specimens in its collections.

Fort Point - http://www.nps.gov/fopo/index.htm - Fort Point protected San Francisco harbor from Confederate & foreign attack during & after the U.S. Civil War. Its beautifully arched casemates display the art of the master brick mason from the Civil War period.

Hiller Museum - http://www.hiller.org/ - The Hiller Aviation Institute is dedicated to the dreams of flight – looking back into aviation’s history while exploring its future. They have a large assortment of aircraft, educational resources and activities.

Mothball Fleet/ USS Iowa (Boat Tour) - http://www.battleshipiowa.org/ - The National Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF) consists of "mothballed" ships, mostly merchant vessels, that can be activated within 20 to 120 days to provide shipping for the United States of America during national emergencies, either military or non-military, such as commercial shipping crises.

What is included?

With payment of camp fee, everything is included except lunch and pre and post day care.  All museum entrance fees, transportation costs, instruction, and two snacks a day snacks are included.

Some locations are not suitable to take groups to in the rain especially during the winter months. In the case that there is bad weather on the day of travel we will still offer camp, but we will go to one of the alternate locations below. Location will be
