The Program

UAC offers carefully crafted local travel camps for 8 – 15 year olds. Each program is designed around a specific subject that campers focus on throughout the week. Topics include history, physical science / technology, biology / natural science, and art. At UAC, campers will receive educational guidance from their instructors, substantial time in quality museums and educational centers and the opportunity to make friends with others who share similar interests. We make sure that each day is used to its fullest potential by including as many opportunities for learning as possible.

GROUPS

UAC groups are small, with no more than 15 students or fewer than two leaders. These small, age appropriate, groups create lively teams, allowing campers to succeed in an environment of friendship and fun as they learn from their instructors and the world around them.

SAFETY

Safety is our number one priority at UAC. Each one of our programs is carefully designed to be safe as possible while still allowing for a unique and fun experience.

CAMP TIMES

The standard Urban Adventure Camps program begins at 8AM and ends at 4PM. This longer day gives our campers more time at the exciting locations we visit. Because we know that this might fit into everyone’s schedule; we offer pre and post day care beginning at 7AM and ending at 5:30PM (pre and post care are only available for camps at Rockridge BART).

PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF AT BART

At UAC we want to make pick-up and drop-off convenient for all of our families. We meet each morning and afternoon at the designated BART station. This provides an easy destination for parents who take BART as well as those who drive into the city. It is just a quick stop off of highway 24.
